John D. Carey has been engaged in the practice of law in Macon since 1973 and since 1980 has engaged in civil litigation limited to the fields of personal injury, workers’ compensation, and medical malpractice. Mr. Carey has represented one automobile liability insurance carrier since 1981, with the remainder of his practice devoted to representing plaintiffs. In addition to all Georgia Courts, he is licensed to practice in Georgia’s 3 Federal District Courts and the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Carey received his undergraduate degree from Mercer University in 1970 and his law degree from Mercer University Law School in 1973.
Prior to attending college, he served in the U.S. Army with the rank of Captain.
He served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Middle District of Georgia from 1975 to 1979.
